Litfest Pasadena

Litfest Pasadena is a free books-and-authors festival features two days of panels, discussions, readings, workshops, performances, and literary activities.

Problem

Client contacted me in March with the need to update their website, Litfest Pasadena for their festival that was being held in Mid-May. Upon careful inspection of the website and listening to the clients needs I recommended a couple things. First, it would be to get their website on a grid framework, such as Foundation, to help their attendees be able to browse their website while at the festival easily. The website was not in a functional state on mobile devices, such as tablets or phones. Secondly, the client was looking to have an events tab that allowed attendees to easily browse through various events that were happening over the course of the three day festival. The proposed solution was to used a popular plugin called “The Events Calendar” and one of their add-ons to help meet their needs on this. Lastly, the client expected to have their website completed by April to launch for their attendees to preview what to expect at their festival. With a one and half month turnaround time, this project was expected to be completed by the end of March for full viewing and touch ups.
